The founding committee of PsycBITE, led by Professor Robyn Tate, provided substantial support and resources that made speechBITE a possibility. speechBITE is based on the model provided by PsycBITE, uses identical rating systems and was successfully launched as a result of a significant contribution of papers from PsycBITE to the speechBITE database. This included 455 treatment studies on acquired communication disorders and 54 randomised and non-randomised controlled trials for use on the speechBITE website.
