Abstract:

Describes the application of linguistic principles in the treatment of a male patient with long-standing severe dysphasia who had previously failed to make any progress with expressive speech ability despite intensive therapy. While there seems to have been some delayed spontaneous recovery in vocabulary and morphology, sentence structure always followed the patterns taught.
